Mooc of the Year: Moocs in the spotlight for one evening
In 2017, the Moocs have continued to develop not only with the general public, but also with companies, replacing traditional elearning as they go along.
In France, 350 Moocs were released last year, almost 1 Mooc per day! They are, for the most part, accessible to the UK or other english native countries thanks to english subtitling.
Today 10,000 Moocs are available worldwide. They have different objectives: training, communication and recruitment.
GOBELINS, L'École de L'Image, has unanimously won the Mooc of the Year award for the Mooc "Réaliser des vidéos pro avec son smartphone" (Make pro video with your smartphone). GOBELINS is a school of visual communication and arts in Paris. This MOOC is subtitled in French and English.
Moreover, there is an international aspect during this event, thanks to the prize “serial MOOCer”. It symbolizes the power of MOOCs to make knowledge accessible worldwide. The winner is Amos Daniel Michel who lives in Haiti. In the simple year, 2017, he was able to follow nearly 100 MOOCs dues to his simple internet connection. He obtained 88 certifications from several universities and schools all over the world! It’s a huge performance.

This evening was a great opportunity to discuss about our video transcription and subtitling technology with professionals in the field.
Indeed, the issue of digital accessibility is at the heart of the debate because it is essential to allow everyone to have access to Mooc's, especially the deaf and hard of hearing people. In addition, with the Internet, content is now shared internationally. Multilingual subtitles is the solution to make Mooc's visible worldwide.
Today Authôt count more than 450 customers throughout Europe. In particular Moocs platforms such as OpenClassrooms or INRIA.
Like them, make your Moocs available thanks to subtitling and our online plateforme: app.authot.com
